Associate Therapist Opportunity

This private practice opportunity is for registered associates (AMFTs, ASWs, and APCCs) with active caseloads seeking to transition to a group practice that is deeply aligned with progressive values and grounded in a counseling approach that is trauma responsive, humanistic, experiential, post-modern, and collaborative.

 

About Our Practice

Relational Associates is a boutique psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles, CA founded by Daniel Fink and Meredith Siller. This practice grew out of a shared desire to live our values, both personally and professionally. Just as we tell our clients, we all need relationships, support, and community. The services we provide our clients are enriched by the combination of our different professional backgrounds and our unique clinical perspectives. We see therapy as a political act because you cannot do anything outside of the political contexts of our lives. There is no neutral – all clinicians must find clarity about the values they stand for and be transparent with clients about those values. Our supervision/counseling model is based on the following theories and practices:

• Relational Gestalt Therapy (dialogue, field theory, hermeneutics, phenomenology, creative adjustment, paradoxical theory of change, shame, embodiment)

• Trauma responsive assessments, interventions, and treatment planning

• Harm reduction with substances and other risky behaviors

• Relationships (including polyamory, ENM/CNM)

• Sexuality, including kink and BDSM

• Self, identity, and personality

 

Associateship Details

Working with us as an associate might be a little different than other private practice opportunities you are familiar with. Here are some highlights:

• Associates are paid a set hourly rate for all hours worked. This includes time you spend in supervision, writing notes, and marketing. If we ever require you to attend a training workshop or additional mandatory meetings, you’ll be paid for the time.

• If you use your own resources to provide counseling or perform other necessary parts of your job, you will be paid an hourly reimbursement. For example, when you use a personal home office, personal computer, and home internet to conduct therapy or attend supervision via videoconferencing, you will receive reimbursement.

• We offer basic benefits for paid sick leave and paid time off.

• Our founding clinicians have a combined 20+ years of clinical experience, and backgrounds in other fields, such as big law and corporate tech. Our primary supervisor has over a decade of experience training clinicians in our counseling model.

• Office space for in-person sessions is available in Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Encino, Echo Park, and Pasadena. We use Olida offices, and you can learn more on their website: https://olida.co/locations
