Milo Green (they/them)
MA, AMFT
I‘m a registered associate therapist and I primarily work with queer and trans adults, children, and families. I work with folks who are ready to explore their inner worlds, improve their relationships, untangle the impacts of systemic harm, and reconnect with a sense of groundedness and clarity.
My Story
Hi, I’m Milo Green (they/them), and I am a white, queer, trans/non-binary, disabled, US-born therapist working on unceded Kizh territory (Los Angeles, CA).
I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing remote therapy throughout the state of California. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and much of my time in the field so far has been spent supporting other trans/queer/non-binary people.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I grew up often feeling like there wasn’t a place for me. That early sense of disconnection shaped my deep commitment to creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported in their full complexity. As a therapist, I approach our work together with warmth, curiosity, and a belief that healing happens in relationship, both in the therapy room and beyond.
After working in education, various creative fields, and advocacy-based spaces, I became interested in pursuing a path in psychotherapy because I saw this work as a natural extension of all of my interests. I am a therapist because I believe in the power of healing through connection, story, and self-discovery. I’ve seen how transformative it can be to feel truly heard and supported, and I’m drawn to this work by a deep commitment to justice, curiosity about people’s inner worlds, and care for collective and individual well-being.
Other things I love are: reading, playing the guitar, writing, photography, being near the ocean, and spending time with my partner and our dog.
My Approach
I predominantly work with queer and trans folks who are ready to explore their inner worlds, improve their relationships, untangle the impacts of systemic harm, and reconnect with a sense of groundedness and clarity. Whether you’re questioning who you are, healing from what’s happened to you, or simply trying to exist more fully in this world, our work together is about building a relationship where all parts of you are welcome.Together, we’ll work to uncover your strengths, challenge what no longer serves you, and cultivate the kind of change that feels true to you.

Therapy with me is a co-created journey where you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll explore the stories, beliefs, and patterns that shape your experience and imagine new possibilities for how you want to live, relate, and take up space in the world. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, stress, identity exploration, trauma, or major life transitions, I aim to support you in moving toward greater self-understanding, connection, and freedom.

My work is grounded in anti-racism and guided by a deep commitment to social justice, equity, and intersectionality.

Some values that guide my work include:
-
Collaboration over hierarchy - I value co-creating the therapeutic process with clients. I see my clients as experts in their own lives and seek to build trust through mutual respect, curiosity, and shared power.
-
Context matters - I honor the social, cultural, and systemic forces that shape my clients' lives. I am committed to holding space for the ways identity, oppression, trauma, and privilege show up in the room — without reducing my clients to these narratives.
-
Authentic relationship is healing - I value showing up as a real person in the room — present, attuned, and emotionally available. I bring a sense of warmth and humor to my work, and I see the therapeutic relationship as a site of transformation and co-regulation.
-
Curiosity over certainty - rather than rushing to interpret or label, I approach clients with spaciousness, patience, and openness. I trust that meaning emerges in relationship and over time.
-
Justice is therapeutic - I believe that healing is inherently political. I care deeply about social justice, and my work is guided by the belief that therapy should be a liberatory and affirming space — especially for people with marginalized identities.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and rooted in liberation. I work with adults, children, couples, and families of all genders, with a focus on queer and trans clients. Outside of therapy, I find joy in nature, art, and community.
